Carol J. Holderman

Carol Jean Holderman, age 82, of Tipton, Mich., passed away February 16, 2026.

She was born May 16, 1943 in Macon, Mich., the daughter of Fred and Freda (Creger) Brighton. On November 24, 1962, she married Jack Leroy Holderman in Tecumseh, Mich. He preceded her in death on November 17, 2025.

 She was a graduate of Tecumseh High School, Class of 1962. Carol was active in 4-H as a leader with the Tipton Jets. She was known as a “wrestling mom” in Tecumseh for many years. Carol and her late husband, Jack, were active in area Mixed Bowling Leagues.

 She is survived by her children, Tammy (Alec) Miller, Kimberly (Todd) Baldwin, Carrie (Michael) Ingerly, Jack Holderman II (Carmela) and Jeffrey (Janette) Holderman; 13 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and brother, Fred (Marcy) Brighton.

In addition to her husband Jack, she was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Bonnie.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2026 at Purse & Son Funeral Home, Tecumseh, with Rev. Brian Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Franklin Cemetery, Tipton, Mich.

Visitation will also take place on Thursday, Feb. 26, 2026, from 12-2 p.m. at Purse & Son Funeral Home, Tecumseh.
