Carole D. Shiels

Carole Darlene Shiels, age 89, of Tecumseh, Mich., passed away December 29, 2023 at Hospice of Lenawee, Hospice Home in Adrian, Mich. She was born August 24, 1934 in Indiana.

On October 12, 1956, she married William “Bill” Shiels in Ridgeway, Mich. He preceded her in death on October 3, 2020.

Carole was a graduate of Tecumseh High School, Class of 1952. She was retired from Herrick Memorial Hospital with over 40 years of service.

Carole was a member of Adrian Church of God, known now as Redemption Outreach Center. She is survived by her children, Mary K. Bradish and John (Debbie) Shiels; four grandchildren, Brian, Bambie, Danne and Kim; nine great-grandchildren, Sean, Mary, Jayden, Jocelynn, Brian, Jr., Ryan, Tera, Tyler, and Ally; brother, Gale (Mary) Kimmer; sister, Lois (John) Brockway; and four nephews.

In addition to her husband Bill, she was preceeded in death by three sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 5, 2024 at Purse Martinez Funeral Home,Tecumseh with Rev. Scott Tysick officiating. Interment will follow at Brookside Cemetery,Tecumseh.

Visitation will also take place on Friday, Jan.5, 2024 at Purse Martinez Funeral Home, Tecumseh, from noon until time of funeral service.
