Carolyn A. Sackett

Carolyn A. Sackett, age 68, passed to her eternal reward with our Lord and savior Jesus Christ on Friday, Sept. 17 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 28, 1952 to Samuel and Helen Craig. Carolyn married Ronald Sackett in Ann Arbor on April 29, 1972 and went on to earn a bachelor’s degree from Eastern Michigan University. She was a long-time resident of Britton, Mich. where she and Ron raised their four children, along with her working as a para-pro in the Britton-Macon school district.

Carolyn was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, living her faith and everyday honoring her Lord and enjoying her family. She retired to daycare her grandchildren who were the light of her life. Carolyn was a lifelong member of Milan Baptist Church, and active in leading youth and Awana programs at her church. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter Trinity Sackett.

Carolyn is survived by her husband, Ronald; her parents, Sam and Helen Craig; her sister, Colleen and David Thurston; and her children, Eric and Beth Sackett, Elizabeth and Michael Anthony, Ellen and Matthew Furtney, Errol and Christy Sackett, and Michael Schust. She is also survived by five grandchildren Michael Furtney, Evan Furtney, Haley Schust, Logan Schust, and Riley Sackett.

Visitation was held at Ochalek-Stark Funeral Home, Milan on Tuesday, Sept. 21 from 3-8 p.m. and at the Milan Baptist Church on Wednesday, Sept. 22 from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Milan Baptist Church for the Cubbies Awana program. ochalekstark.com.
