Clinton ends varsity boys soccer season
Clinton’s varsity boys soccer team hosted the first round of districts on Tuesday and lost 4-1 to Jackson Christian.
Tolen Nelson scored the only goal of the night for the Redskins. Ryan Hoffman had 13 saves with Clinton having 12 shots on goal.
“Clinton came out strong and tough and played together as a team in the best game I have ever seen them play,” said Clinton coach Marla Erickson.
Eleven seniors, Nelson, Jesse Fisher, Sharif Tressler, Luke Hayes, Austin Erickson, Trevor Hurley, Huntter Trubiano, Chase Schlict, Nicholas Rolland, Hunter Newman and Andrew Coffelt, played their final game of the season. “Thank you to them for everything they have put into this season and all their previous seasons,” Erickson said.
