Dorothy May Lembrick

Dorothy May Lembrick, age 86, of Tipton, died Sunday, Nov. 22, 2015 at Hospice of Lenawee’s Hospice Home. She was born July 26, 1929 in Tipton to John and Myrtie (Jackson) Cook. On June 25, 1949 she married Charles Raymond Lembrick and he preceded her in death on August 5, 2006. Dorothy was a member of the Tipton Community Congregational Church. She had been a 4-H leader while raising her family. She enjoyed crocheting and handiwork.

She is survived by one son, Douglas (Karen) Lembrick of Clinton; two daughters, Barbara (Michael) Zorn of Tecumseh and Carolyn (Lawrence) Getz of Fowlerville, Mich.; six grandchildren, Jason Zorn, Dorie Zorn, Melissa (Jia Liu) Getz, Becky (Chris) Summerlot, Dane (Caroline) Lembrick and Kristen (Leor) Snapir; and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Charles, she was preceded in death by her parents, and three brothers, Dale, Dean and Donald Cook.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial services for Dorothy will be held on Saturday, Dec. 5, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Tipton Community Congregational Church with Pastor Eric Hickman officiating. Following the service, burial of cremains will take place in Tipton Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday, Dec. 5, 2015 from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the Tipton Community Congregational Church.
