Dorothy A. Withrow

Dorothy Ann Withrow, age 91 passed away on Monday, Feb. 26, 2024 at Cambrian Assisted Living in Tecumseh surrounded by family. She was born June 13, 1932 in Macon Twp., Mich., the daughter of the late William and Margaret (Kent) Wonderly. On April 16, 1955 at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Britton, she married Donald Calvin Withrow and they shared 64 years together until his passing on March 7, 2020.

Dorothy was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tecumseh for over 65 years and enjoyed being a part of the secret pal group. She was part of a bowling league and loved going to Muk’s for taco night and having a margarita as well as enjoying a cup of coffee while sitting on her porch. Dorothy enjoyed crocheting, camping, gardening, baking and going to yard sales. After retiring from the Tecumseh High School cafeteria, she wintered in Arizona with her husband for over 25 years. She loved spending time with family and friends, but most of all she loved the time with her grandchildren and was the best “Grammie” ever.

Dorothy is survived by her children, Mark Withrow of Tipton and Margaret Langowski of Tecumseh; four grandchildren, Courtney Dauber of Kalamazoo, Brad Dauber of Grand Rapids, Megan Langowski and Matthew Langowski both of Tecumseh; two great-grandchildren, Ezra and Isla Dauber of Grand Rapids. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two children, Linda Dauber and Brad Withrow and siblings, Marlyn Wonderly, Ronald Wonderly and Walter Wonderly.

Memorial visitation for Dorothy will be from 11 a.m.-12 p.m. on Saturday, March 9 at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tecumseh. Memorial services will follow at 12 p.m. with Pastor William Finn officiating. Inurnment will be in Lenawee Hills Memorial Gardens in Tecumseh. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church and Hospice of Lenawee. Arrangements are under the care of the Tecumseh Chapel of Handler Funeral Homes.
