EDITH MARIE “EDIE” BOYLE

Edith Marie “Edie” Boyle, 89, of Tecumseh died Thursday, February 14, 2008 at Cambrian Assisted Living in Tecumseh. She was born May 6, 1918 in Detroit, the daughter of Bruno Charles and Emma Marie (Hohl) Kullen. She was married to Kenneth F. Boyle on April 19, 1941 and he preceded her in death on September 5, 1970.

Edie was a bookkeeper for over 20 years for the August Company. Prior to that, she was an elementary school secretary in the Lenawee County area. She was a lover of dogs and enjoyed golfing, bowling, playing bridge, and spending time near the water. Edie had a fantastic sense of humor and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Eddie is survived by one son, Michael (Colleen) Boyle of Ninety-Six, South Carolina; one daughter, Patricia Daly of Bloomfield Hills; two grandchildren, Patrick (Erica) Daly and Erin (Bret) Stuntz. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and two brothers.

Visitation was held at the Tecumseh Chapel of Handler Funeral Homes on Sunday, February 17, 2008.  The funeral mass was celebrated on Monday, February 18 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Tecumseh with the Rev. Father Daniel Wheeler as Celebrant.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lenawee County Humane Society.
