Glennis Ruth Gauntlett

Glennis Ruth Gauntlett, age 87, of Tecumseh, went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, March 2, 2021. She passed away peacefully at Lenawee Hospice Home in Adrian, Michigan, after a brief illness.

Glennis was born on November 20, 1933, in Antwerp, Ohio to the late Wilbur Brososky and Wavena (Longberry) Brososky. Her family moved to Saline, Mich. in 1947 where she graduated from Saline High School in 1952.

During her late teenage and early adult years, Glennis worked at Wilmac, a machine shop in Saline owned by her father. In 1955, she married Jean Forbes Gauntlett. They had two children. After raising her family, Glennis worked for the University of Michigan Law Quad and the County of Washtenaw. In 1998, she moved to Tecumseh, Mich. Glennis enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, writing, and keeping up with current events. In the summer and fall months, she enjoyed driving through the nearby countryside.

Her daughter, Lori (Joe) Krzyzaniak, and her son, Jean Patrick Gauntlett, survive her. Glennis is also survived by five grandchildren, Lindsay Krzyzaniak, Brandon Krzyzaniak, Courtney (Paul Cundiff) Krzyzaniak, Rachel (Jacob) Zammit, and Hannah Krzyzaniak; five great-grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren. Also surviving is her brother, Keith (Marianne) Brososky of Saline and sister-in-law, Jeanne Brososky of Montana. Proceeding Glennis in death, along with her parents and Jean Gauntlett, were her brothers Dennis Brososky and Charles Brososky, and sister-in-law, Ruth Brososky.

No funeral service is planned at this time.
