Grocery store needed at development of former Products property

To the Editor,

It is a great thing that the old Tecumseh Products property is, hopefully, going to be renovated for new use. This is my hope: that there be a new grocery store built there among the other things that are planned. You see, the present situation has many problems. First, the present grocery stores are located in the far west and north parts of town. This means that the high population of Raisin Township has to travel to the other side of town to shop. This creates a great deal of traffic, particularly in the area of Occidental and Chicago

Boulevard. A store at the old Tecumseh Products would reduce that traffic a great deal. The other reason I hope for a new grocery store is that it might have cheaper prices than the other ones in town. Could this new developer consider such an idea?
