Harold Lee Render

Harold Lee Render, age 89, of Manchester, passed away March 8, 2021.

Harold was born August 4, 1931 in West Bloomfield, Mich., the son of Leo and Lottie (Crawford) Render. On June 12, 1954 he married Lethone “Toni” Augustine and she survives. He served his country in the United States Army in the Korean War. Harold was very involved with horses his entire life. He worked for Michigan Livestock retiring after many years of service.

 
He was an avid Detroit Tiger Fan and enjoyed watching his grandchildren play all their sports.

Harold was a member of the Tipton Community Congregational Church and served on the Haflinger Horse Registry and many other equine organizations. In addition to his wife Toni, Harold is survived by his children, Kay (Larry) Johnson, David (Lori) Render and Brian (Vickie) Render and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 12, 2021 at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh with Rev. David Bucholtz officiating. Burial will follow in Franklin Cemetery, Tipton, Mich. where military honors will be performed by the Tecumseh American Legion and VFW.  Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, March 11 at the J.
