Janet E. Dehring

Janet E. (Rich) Dehring, age 89, of Tecumseh, Mich., passed away, April 16, 2024 at Cambrian Memory Care in Tecumseh.

She was born March 16, 1935, in Toledo, Ohio, daughter of Herbert and Miriam (Gillis) Rich. On April 20, 1957, she married James (Jim) Dehring in Toledo, Ohio. He survives.

Janet was a 1953 graduate of Waite High School, Toledo. She was a resident of Tecumseh since 1966. Janet was a stay-at-home mom. After high school, she did clerical work for Bostwick and Braun Company, Toledo,  and in the payroll department for Sun Oil Company, Toledo.

Janet loved to attend sporting events and all other activities which involved her grandchildren. She liked taking drives in their Corvair convertible and to attend car shows. Janet also enjoyed cruise ship travels as well as motor coach tours with a group of senior friends.

She enjoyed flower gardening and most of all, family events.

In addition to her husband James Dehring of Tecumseh, Janet is survived by her son, Jeffrey (Marilyn) Dehring of Chelsea, Mich.; daughter, Julie (John) Lyskawa, of Hoschton, Ga.; grandchildren, Andrew, Luke, Connor and Haleigh; two nieces, Susie and Cathy; and nephew, Larry.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Rhodene Brown.

According to her wishes, cremation has taken place.

Final resting place will be at Limestone Cemetery, Graytown, Ohio.
