Janis Evelyn Creswell

Beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Janis Evelyn Creswell passed away peacefully on August 16 at the age of 84.

Born October 3, 1936, Jan was a lifelong resident of Tecumseh. She married Richard (Ric) Creswell in April of 1957. Jan was an active member of the Tecumseh Jaycee Auxiliary and Eastern Stars. She would also regularly volunteer through the Herrick Hospital Auxiliary. Jan worked for Murray, Wolf, and Curtis dentist office as the office manager for many years until her retirement in 2001.

Jan’s greatest joys in life were the moments she spent with her family. Every single one of them will miss her lasagna dinners, her infectious laughter, her Love GJ cards for every special occasion, her slush (but only when they were old enough), and her famous chocolate chip cookies.

Jan will be lovingly remembered by her children, Michael (Pamela) Creswell, Kathy (David) Huntt, Mark (Cheryl) Creswell, and Kimberly (Kevin) Thompson; grandchildren, John (Chris), Jennifer (Mike), Sarah (Jason), Daric (Kelly), Ryan, Colton, Kristine (John), and Jay; great-grandchildren, McKenna, Carter, and Avery; brother, Mel (Anne) Boltz; sister, Merene (Arch) Conkey; as well as numerous relatives and dear friends.

She has been reunited in death with her loving husband; granddaughter, Katie Thompson; sister, Inez Boltz Harger; niece, Beth Ann Boltz; and parents, Mervyn and Irene Boltz.

A celebration of Jan’s life will be held on September 25 at the Covenant Church in Tecumseh from 2-4 p.m. An interment of her cremains will be laid to rest alongside Ric at Lenawee Hills Memorial Gardens. A private service will be held at the family’s request.
