Jeanette M. Greenfield

Jeanette was born November 4, 1927 to Walter and Rena Morden and passed away peacefully on January 28, 2021.

She graduated from Macon High School on June 8, 1944 and from the Alexandra School of Cosmetology in Ann Arbor in 1946. During that time, she also worked for several years at the former Ford plant in Manchester.  She was married on October 14, 1950 at the Macon Methodist Church to the late Ted Greenfield and was a loving wife to her husband for 53 years.

Surviving are her children, Jack (Linda) Greenfield and Jill Greenfield; grandchildren, Taylor (Nate) Greenfield-Peck and Hunter (Jillian) Greenfield.  She has three great grandchildren; Milo, Neko and Maya with #4 due in June.

Jeanette was a lifelong resident of Macon. She loved the village and its people and was loved by many dear family members and friends.

Under current pandemic conditions, there will not be a public ceremony. Instead, the family invites you to consider laying a flower at her gravesite at the Macon Cemetery at a holiday time; something Jeanette was very dedicated to do for all other family and friends who had passed before. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Careline Hospice in Jackson, Mich. or Tecumseh Place where she was surrounded by dedicated caregivers.

Arrangements are under the care of the Clinton Chapel of Handler Funeral Homes. Online condolences may be offered to the family at handlerfuneralhomes.com.
