Jessica Marie Fox Investigation - ARREST

Raisin Twp., Lenawee County: On March 22, 2021, troopers from the Monroe Post responded to a report of a missing 30-year-old female. The female, Jessica Marie Fox, from Adrian was reported missing by family members. Jessica was last seen on March 21, 2021, in Tecumseh, Michigan. After an extensive search by members of the Michigan State Police and other area law enforcement agencies, a body was recovered from the River Raisin in Raisin Township on April 8, 2021. 

On April 10, 2021, an autopsy was conducted by the Lenawee County Medical Examiner. During the autopsy, the body was positively identified as Jessica Marie Fox. The autopsy determined that the cause of death was strangulation and was ruled a homicide. 

After an extensive investigation, a person of interest was developed and on June 24, 2021, 33-year-old Christopher George Maurer from Adrian was arrested for the murder of Jessica Fox along with other charges.
