John Daniel Goodman

John Daniel Goodman, age 72, of Tecumseh, passed away on Monday, Jan. 18, 2021. John was born September 30, 1948, in Tecumseh, Mich., son of the late Byron and Betty (Butler) Goodman. He was a 1966 graduate of Tecumseh High School and furthered his education at Adrian College. 

John served his country for two years in the United States Army. He retired from Ford Motor Company in Saline after many years of service.

John was an avid golfer and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and boating. John loved Alaska and traveled year after year to visit his brother, Jim and his sister-in-law, Jane and their two boys to fly into the bush to hunt and fish. He also loved his farm in Hillsdale County that has been in his family for four generations.

John is survived by his two daughters, Kristina Goodman Doyle of Canton, Mich., and Nichole (Craig) Borowski of Waterford, Mich.; grandchildren, Daniel Doyle, Nicholas Borowski, and Alexander Borowski; brother, Dr. James (Jane) Goodman of Davenport, Wash.; and aunt and uncle, Mary (Dr. Robert) Bowers of Tecumseh, Mich.

In accordance with John’s wishes, cremation has taken place. John’s ashes will be laid to rest next to his parents at Brookside Cemetery in Tecumseh. Details of a gathering in celebration of John’s life will be announced at a later date. Condolences to the family may be expressed online at pursefuneralhome.com. Arrangements entrusted to J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh.
