John W. Keeney
John William Keeney, age 93, life long resident of Tipton, passed away peacefully at Cambrian Memory Care on Sunday, November 24, 2024. He was born on January 21, 1931 in Tecumseh, Mich. to John R. and Dorothy (Elton) Keeney. He graduated from Tecumseh High School in 1949.
John owned and managed Keeney Orchard. When he wasn’t working, John enjoyed hunting and shooting sports. He also was an avid firearms collector.
To cherish his memory, John leaves five nieces and nephews, Frank P. Kenney III of Tecumseh, Margaret Napier of Ann Arbor, David (Sophia) Keeney of Ann Arbor, William (Barbara) Keeney of Tipton, and Robert Keeney of Brooklyn; and several great nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Kathleen M. Keeney; brother, Frank P. Keeney II; and sister-in-law, Kathleen E. Keeney.
Private burial will take place in Tipton Cemetery. A celebration of life will be at the farm at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Tecumseh. Condolences may be shared with the family online at andersonfuneralservices.com.
