Judith Ann Richardson

Judith Ann Richardson (Cummings), 81, passed peacefully at her daughter’s home in Colorado on December 23, 2020. Judee, as she was known to many, was born on October 23, 1939, in Lincoln Park, Mich. She married Kenneth O. Richardson (deceased) on August 3, 1957. They made their home in Allen Park where they raised four daughters, Kristyne Lemerand, Kerrin Tesmer, Karalyn Richardson, and Kasandra Carleton.

Judith earned an associate degree in nursing. She dedicated over 30 years providing compassionate care to others. In their second retirement, Judee and Ken traveled the country as motel relief managers. They enjoyed hiking and exploring new places together. They found many great friends in Clinton, Mich., where they later settled.

One of Judith’s many talents was quilting. Two of her most treasured quilts were exhibited in a regional quilt show in 2019. She enjoyed celebrating holidays and special events with her family. Friends will remember her laughter and smile. Judith was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth and her daughter Kerrin. She is survived by her three daughters, eight grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

A private interment will take place at Brookdale Cemetery, where Judith will rest beside her beloved husband, Ken. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Quilts of Valor, qovf.org.
