June Turner

June Turner, age 96, of Tecumseh, Mich., passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at Lenawee Medical Care Facility in Adrian, Mich. She was born in Stamford, England, on July 1, 1929, the daughter of the late Wilford Robert Lewis and Florence Elizabeth Alexander. On August 31, 1946, June was joined in marriage with Reno Lee Turner in Stamford, England, and they enjoyed 36 years of marriage until his passing in 1982.

June was a member of the Tecumseh Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses for over 70 years.  She also was a member of the local Globe Trotters.  June enjoyed reading and she especially loved working in her garden and feeding and watching the birds.

June is survived by her two children, Gil (Marie) Turner of Raisin Twp., Mich. and Karen (Dennis) Paice of Britton, Mich.; three grandchildren, Jana (Derek) Deatrick, Ben (Danielle DeVoss) Turner, and Corey Turner; two great-grandchildren, Tom (Kaileigh) Bruce and Jack Deatrick; three great-great-grandchildren, Emersyn, Denver, and Brooks Bruce; her sister, Jill Parker of Stamford, England; and two nieces, Jo and Susan Parker.

In addition to her parents, June was preceded in death by her husband Reno, and her sister, Joan Alexander.
