Larrie Eaton

Adrian — Larrie L. Eaton, age 81, of Adrian, Mich., passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at Adrian Bay Rehab & Nursing Center in Adrian.  He was born on Dec. 25, 1944, in Ann Arbor, the son of the late Arthur J. and Myldred (Everett) Eaton. After obtaining his associate degree from Michigan State University, Larrie proudly served his country from 1965-71 in the U.S. Navy.  He then worked for over 30 years as a safety coordinator at Tecumseh Products, retiring in 2004.

Larrie was very active in his community. He was a member of the Lenawee County FFA Alumni, the Farmer’s Antique and Engine Club, the Lenawee County Farm Bureau, a former member of the Raisin Township Fire Department, a former Lenawee County Fair Board member, and a former Tecumseh Township Board trustee. He also enjoyed farming and gardening and had an over 30-year interest in antique tractors as well as local history.

Larrie is survived by his children, Arthur “A.J.” Eaton, Nancy (Andrew) Eaton-Gordon, and Sarah (Ray) Tuberville; his grandchildren, Elizabeth and Jacob Tuberville; his brother Meryl Eaton; a special nephew, Chad Eaton; and his former wife and love of his life, Brenda J. Eaton.  In addition to his parents, Larrie was preceded in death by his sister, Ardyth J. Schroeder, and his brother Gerald E. Eaton; his sisters-in-law, Judy and Geraldine Eaton; and his brother-in-law, Frank Schroeder.

At his request, cremation has taken place. The family will hold a celebration of life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to Hospice of Lenawee.
