Linda Lou Kapnick

On Nov. 5, 1955, Linda married Arlan Dean Kapnick in Blissfield, beginning a marriage that spanned over 70 years. The two bought Raisin Valley Golf Club in 1977 and operated it together for over 30 years.

Linda loved the outdoors, especially the beauty of a new fallen snow. She enjoyed swimming and cross-country skiing, and bowled in a ladies league at Deerfield Lanes carrying a high average several times. She also liked writing poems and reading romance novels. As the baby of the family, Linda loved spending time with her sisters, this included several trips together. Linda and Arlan enjoyed traveling, particularly the fall color tours. Their travels took them to all 50 states as well as parts of Canada, Europe and the Panama Canal. Some of the best memories came from the cross-country train rides they took to visit friends in California. Above all, Linda was described as an amazing wife and mother.

To cherish her memory, Linda leaves behind her loving husband, Arlan; two sons, Keith Kapnick and David (Michelle) Kapnick; a daughter, Brenda (Michael) Velandra; five grandchildren, Danielle Kapnick, Katelyn Kapnick, Leigh (Adam) Cruse, Deana Velandra and Andrew (Jenna) Kapnick; and three great-grandchildren, Megan, Brian and Landon.
