LOUIS A. COLLINS
Louis A. Collins, 76, of Tecumseh, went home to be with the Lord, on January 10, 2008, at his home. He was born May 29, 1931, in Milan, MI, to Edward and Matilda (Loskowski) Collins.
While growing up in Milan, Louis and his family were friends of Henry Ford. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army, having served in Iceland. Louis owned and operated Collins Roofing and was in business for 45 years. He loved working in his garden. and visiting with his neighbors.
Louis is survived by one daughter, Donna Collins Campbell and Jerry of Tipton; a step-daughter, Kathy Ballard and her husband, Roy of Winfield, AL; a grandson, Joseph; two sisters, Leona Wagner and her husband, Robert of Garden City and Dolores Collins of Milan; a special friend, Bonnette Smith; his best little buddy, Rusty; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Louis Jr; brothers, Edward and Earl; a sister, Alma; and his Boston Terrier, Max.
Cremation has taken place. Graveside services and burial of cremains will be held at a later date in Brookside Cemetery.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Anderson Funeral Home.
