Marion Green

Marion Emma Green, age 100, of Tecumseh, Mich., passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at the Hospice of Lenawee Hospice Home in Adrian, Mich. She was born in Ypsilanti, Mich., on October 11, 1925, the daughter of the late Paul and Emma (Kruger) Brown. Eighty-one years ago, on February 24, 1945, she was joined in marriage with Robert Francis Green in Tyler, Texas, and he survives. She was employed as a secretary with Milan Trucking Company/Wickes Lumber Company.

Marion was a member of Tecumseh United Methodist Church. In her younger years she loved square dancing and she was an active member of the Maple City Swingers, a popular square-dancing club. Marion loved crafting, including ceramics and other crafts.  She especially enjoyed sewing and quilting. When she wasn’t busy crafting or sewing, one could find her reading or playing cards.

In addition to her husband, Robert, Marion is survived by her daughter, Donna Masten of Adrian; her son, Dennis (Cheryl) Green of Milton, Fla.; her five grandchildren, Kelly (Bryan) Beattie of Pace. Fla., Amanda (Tony) Vitale of Missoula, Mont., Kari (Erik) Hautamaki of Britton, Mich., Rebecca (Matt) Brown of Crestview, Fla., and Jason Masten of Gilbert, Ariz.; 11 great-grandchildren, Aidan, Aubry, Rocco, Nico, Paige, Reece, Harper, Bobby, Alyssa, Madelynn and Brynn.  

Marion was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Shirley Green; a great-granddaughter, Mia Vitale; and four brothers and one sister.

Visitation for Marion took  place on Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at the Tecumseh Chapel of Handler Funeral Home. A funeral service was officiated by Pastor Jodi Cartwright. Burial followed at Brookside Cemetery in Tecumseh. Memorial contributions in honor of Marion may be made to Hospice of Lenawee. Online condolences may be made to the family at handlerfuneralhomes.com.
