Marjorie A. Matteson
Marjorie Alice Bertha Matteson of Flint, age 95, died Monday, Oct. 5, 2020 at Angel Manor Assisted Living. Honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on October 16 at 11 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church. Those desiring can make contributions in Marjorie’s memory to Michigan Lutheran Seminary.
Marjorie was born in Tecumseh, Mich., on April 5, 1925, the daughter of the late William and Matilda (Brenke) Korth and has resided in the Flint area the last 20 years, spending most of her years in the Tecumseh area. She was married to Wynne Matteson in 1949 and he preceded her in death in 1992. She has been an active member of Grace Lutheran Church in Tecumseh for many years and continued to live a Christian life. She was a seamstress and operated her own shop for many years.
Surviving are sons Michael (Terry) Matteson and Markael (Tracy) Matteson. She also leaves nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, sister-in-law Nelma Korth and a host of extended family. She is preceded in death by granddaughter Courtney Matteson and brother Martin Korth and a host of extended family. Please share your condolences at hamptonfuneralhomes.net.
