Nick George
Nick George, age 89, of Tipton, passed away April 20, 2021. Nick was born April 24, 1931 in Detroit, Mich., the son of Harry and Helen George. On December 28, 1952 he married Dorothy Barss and she preceded him in death on March 17, 1997.
Nick was a sergeant in the U.S. Army serving during the Korean War and then in the National Guard for 18 years. He owned a private security company until he retired in 2002. He was a member of the Adrian Assembly of God Church and a born again Christian.
A loving father, grandfather and great-grandfaher, Nick is survived by his daughter, Deborah (Mark) Loos; son, Gregory (Joyce) George; grandchildren, Tamara Loos, Stephanie George and Nicholas (Tina) Loos; and three great-grandchildren, Skyler, Courtney and Autumn.
In addition to his wife, Dorothy, he is preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Helen and Jean.
Nick will be laid to rest on Friday, April 23, at Franklin Cemetery with military honors conducted by the Tecumseh American Legion and the Tecumseh VFW. Condolences to the family may be made online at pursefuneralhome.com.
