NOLA VANLOOCKE
Nola VanLoocke, 89, of Blissfield, died Monday, February 25, 2008 at her home. She was born October 10, 1918 in Ottawa Lake, MI, to Ralph and Alva (Kading) Miller. She married Art VanLoocke on March 29, 1941 in Napoleon, Ohio and he preceded her in death in July of 1969.
Nola was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. She worked at Bixby Hospital until her retirement in May of 1984.
Nola is survived by one son, Alan (Diane) VanLoocke of Blissfield; one daughter, Kay (Dave) Sneary of Blissfield; one step-brother Robert Shaffer of Hastings, MI; four grandchildren, Adam (Lisa) VanLoocke, Jason (Jennifer) Gunter, Dawn (Mike) Sample, and Cory (Heather) VanLoocke, and two great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Larry VanLoocke and one grandson, Ryan A. VanLoocke.
Funeral services for Nola will be held on Thursday, February 28, 2008 at 11 a.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Mayo-Moyle officiating. Burial will be in Ogden Zion Cemetery. Visitation will also be held on Thursday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
