Pauline M. Solarski

Pauline Mae Solarski, age 98 of Tecumseh, passed away on Monday, Jan. 15, 2024 at home. She was born December 3, 1925 in Adrian, the daughter of the late John Henry and Nina Dehlia (Rinehart) Sell. On June 7, 1944 in Ogden Twp. she married Edward Solarski and they shared 51 years together until his passing on August 20, 1995.

Pauline was a charter member of the Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Tecumseh. She taught Sunday school and along with her husband was in charge of the Luther League for many years. Pauline was honored with the woman of the year in the Lutheran church. She loved to read, was a great cook and hosted many family dinners.

Pauline is survived by her children, Marilyn (Gene) Boyers, Linda (Dan) Murphy and Edward Solarski, all of Tecumseh; siblings, Myrna Luce, and George (Arlene) Sell, both of Blissfield; four grandchildren, Lindsay and Steven Boyers, Nathan (Andrea) Murphy and Kelly Pena; three great-grandchildren, Katelyn Pena, Macie and Lincoln Murphy; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Melissa Murphy, and two brothers John and Marvin Sell.

A private family service will take place with interment in Lenawee Hills Memorial Gardens in Tecumseh. A celebration of life service will be held at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Tecumseh on May 11 with Pastor Ted Kerr officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Gloria Dei Lutheran Church or Hospice of Lenawee. Arrangements are under the care of the Tecumseh Chapel of Handler Funeral Homes.
