Peter T. Murray

Peter Thomas Murray, 70, passed away unexpectedly on November 13, 2025, in Hot Springs Ark., where he lived for 40 years. Peter was born in Tecumseh, Mich., on September 3, 1955, to Robert Murray and Virginia Murray.

After attending Tecumseh High School and Holy Cross College, Peter lived most of his adult life in the Hot Springs area and became an IT consultant for several local businesses. In addition, Pete developed an organic farming business, selling his produce to local stores and markets. Peter loved to help others, particularly those less fortunate than himself. Peter lived the life he wanted and loved everyone he knew, especially his nieces Hana and Erin. Pete chose to become a Buddhist who meditated daily. His wish for everyone he ever met was: “May every single moment of your day be filled with peace, happiness and joy.”

Peter was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Robert Murray and Ms. Virginia Murray-Knuth, and his brother, Paul Murray. Peter is survived by brothers Bob (Edit) Murray and their children Robert, Kathy and Gabriel Murray, and Mark (Mary) Murray; sister-in-law Lydia Murray and her children Hana (James) Pavlov and Erin (Curt) Murray Bagne and their children.

The family will gather next summer in Michigan to celebrate Peter’s life. No other service is planned. In lieu of flowers, donations in his honor may be made to The Caring Place of Hot Springs, Ark.
