Roger Wonderly

BRITTON — Roger Henry Wonderly, known to most people as “Rick,” age 75, of Britton, Mich., passed away on Monday, Aug. 3, 2026, at Bridgeway Park Assisted Living under the care of Hospice of Lenawee. He was born on Feb. 25, 1951, in Tecumseh, the son of the late Marlyn and Patricia Jean (Smith) Wonderly. On July 3, 1975, he was joined in marriage with Michele Elizabeth Vershum at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Britton, and they enjoyed over 49 years together before she passed away in November 2024.
He was employed as a boat builder by Meyers Boats which was originally located at the Allen Meyers Airport in Tecumseh.
Rick was a car enthusiast and a proud member of the Southern Michigan Street Cruisers. He loved the outdoors, and he spent his whole life avidly pursuing his two favorite things, hunting and fishing.
Rick is survived by his son, Ryan (Alisa Maxwell) Wonderly of Blissfield, and his daughter, Rachel Havens of Dundee, and his three grandchildren, Makenna and Kameron Havens, and Wyatt Wonderly. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Michele.
At his request, cremation has taken place. The family will hold a Celebration of Life at a later date. Memorial contributions in honor of Rick may be made to Hospice of Lenawee.
