RUDOLPH S. TOMKO
Rudolph S. Tomko, 79, of Clinton, died February 28, 2008, at home. He was born June 3, 1928, in West Leisenring, PA, the son of John and Anna Tomko.
Rudy was a veteran of the United States Navy serving in the Aleutian Islands just after WWII. He was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church, Clinton. Rudy was retired from Ford Motor Company, Rawsonville Plant.
Rudy is survived by three sons, Rudolph A. of Ypsilanti; Regis S. (Terese) of Britton, and Ronald (Mary) of Britton; grandchildren. Melissa (Scott) McKelvey, April (Evan) Gutierrez, Valerie Gutierrez. Kelsey Tomko, and Jennifer and Joshua Swiecicki; four great-grandchildren, Jacob, Brady, Kanton, and Kole; a brother, Frank (Florence) of Manchester; and his beloved German Shepherd, Blaze.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Veronica and Anna, and brothers, John, Mike and Alex.
A Mass of Christian Burial took place Tuesday, March 4, 2008, at St. Dominic Catholic Church, Clinton, with the Rev. Fr. Paul Ruddy officiating. Interment followed at Lenawee Hills Memorial Gardens, Tecumseh.
Visitation was held Monday at the J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Home Tecumseh. A Scripture service also took place in the funeral home.
