Sally Ann Brehmer

Sally Ann Brehmer, age 85 of Onsted passed away Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2021, in her home surrounded by family and under the care of Hospice of Lenawee.  She was born June 7, 1935, in Dundee, Mich., the daughter of Harold and Clara Furrow.

Sally was a 1954 graduate of Dundee High School. She married her high school sweetheart, Walt Brehmer, on September 3, 1955, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Dundee. She worked as a Medical Record Technician at Beach Nursing Home Monroe, Mich. for 17 years through 1991. Later she worked and retired from Schalamar Country Club, Lakeland, Fla. in 2004 after 13 years working in their front office.

Sally also loved spending time with her family. In addition to her husband Walt, she is survived by her sons, Steve (Denise) Brehmer of Swanton, OH and Jeff (Sharon) Brehmer of Tecumseh, MI; and four grandsons Jacob Brehmer of Vilseck, Germany, Alex Brehmer of Wayland, Mich., and Ben Brehmer and Cameron Brehmer of Tecumseh, Mich. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Art, Frank and Harold (Bud); and a sister, Mary.
Some of her favorite past-times included bowling, golf, and fishing. She was a beloved member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, Tecumseh. Sally embraced life and her smiling face will be missed by all.
