Student writes poem to honor soldiers, veterans in memory of grandfather
As Memorial Day approaches I would like to share a poem to honor soldiers and veterans. I was thinking about my Grandpa Bindus as I wrote it.
A Soldier is brave.
A Soldier is kind.
A fallen soldier has given his life.
After the war,
When the soldiers come home,
A new generation of veterans is born.
A veteran is kind.
Once a soldier,
Always a soldier,
So just keep that in mind.
Thank you to all who have served in the armed service.
