Sue Ellen Osburn

Sue Ellen Osburn, born August 31, 1953, in Tecumseh, Mich., passed away peacefully on April 1, 2025. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend with quiet determination and a deep appreciation for the things that brought her peace: nature, solitude, and her family. She was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Tecumseh.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Glennis Curran. She is survived by her sister, Anne Gruber (Jim), and her brother, Greg Curran. She leaves behind her children, Joshua Osburn (Kimberley) and Carissa Osburn, as well as her grandchildren, Andrew Osburn, Tyler Shulman, and Jacob Serylo.
She found joy in exploring nature, always seeking out new plants and wildlife. Butterflies, in particular, fascinated her – a quiet symbol of transformation and resilience. She also loved finding bird feathers on the ground, small treasures that connected her to nature’s beauty. Her spirit lives on in the rustling leaves, the flutter of butterfly wings, and the hearts of those she loved. She will be remembered for her independence, strength, and the moments she cherished. She will be deeply missed.
