Tecumseh Service Club thanks local schools for food drive support
To the Editor,
The Tecumseh Service Club would like to thank Tecumseh Public Schools for its generosity during the recent canned food drive. With the approval of Dr. [Kelly] Coffin and coordination of the principals, the students collected enough food to fill several pickup trucks.
Rather than collecting food, the high school students once again collected “coins for cans,” which raised $542.15. We would like to say a special thank you to Carl Harsh and the Tecumseh High School Varsity Club for picking up and delivering all of the food.
Last Friday, the downtown merchants had a Moonlight Madness shopping event. The community once again pulled together and donated a truck load of canned good to be distributed to the less fortunate families in our area.
We could not do our job without the support of the community. Thank you all!
