William Nighswander

William “Court” Nighswander a former business owner and pharmacist of Court’s Village Pharmacy, a 1954 graduate and valadictorian of Deerfield High School, peacefully passed away in Benson, Ariz. on January 14, 2025. Court was preceeded in death by his father and mother, Ernie and Ruth Nighswander of Deerfield and first wife, Joanne (Ruesink) Nighswander. Upon retiring, Court and his bride, Mary (Hoelzer), traveled extensively throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico prior to putting down stakes in Benson. Court and Mary made several trips to Michigan, visiting with sons Kevin (Deb) Nighswander, Thomas Nighswander, Jim (Theresa) Nighswander, Clint (Dana) Hoelzer, and Matt (Traci) Hoelzer. Visiting also with Court’s siblings, Allen (Jan) of Deerfield, Robin (Anne) of Maryland, and Pat Nighswander (Patricia, as her eldest brother fondly called her) Tagsold of Blissfield. Also receiving visits from the elder Nighswander’s were numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service is pending.
Court was loved by all.
