Arnold Partridge

Arnold “Butch” Partridge, age 84, of Tipton, Mich. passed away January 9, 2024.

He was born May 8, 1939, in Plymouth, Mich., the son of Austin and Viola (King) Partridge.

In 1970, Arnold married Wilma VanBrunt and adopted her three children, Cindy, Carey, and Chris. Together they had two children, Butch and Penny. Later, Arnold and Wilma divorced. On September 30, 1988, Arnold married Karen (Kelly) LeVeck and they have celebrated 35 years together.

Butch grew up in Tecumseh, Mich. and attended Tecumseh High School. He farmed all his life, knowing that that was his calling at age 13 years old. He attended Raisin Valley Friends Church.

In addition to his wife Karen, he is survived by his children, Carey (Nancy Johnson) Partridge, Chris (Debbie) Partridge, Austin “Butch” (Hila) Partridge, and Penny (Tsugi Komata) Partridge-Komata; eight grandchildren, Kyle, Ed, Katie, Eric, Jake, Austin, Chance, and Paige; two great-grandchildren; stepchildren, Dale (Robin  Mayes) LeVeck, and Kathleen (Charles) Nowell; sister, Mary Lou Barrett; and brother, Melbourne “Mickey” (Martha) Partridge.

Butch was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Cindy Jones; and brother, Roger Partridge.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 16, at Purse Martinez Funeral Home, Tecumseh, with Rev. Doug Chandler officiating. 

Interment followed at Brookside Cemetery in Tecumseh.

Visitation was held at Purse Martinez Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Raisin Valley Friends Church.
