Thomas M. Griffith

Thomas M. Griffith, age 60 years of Tecumseh, formerly of Monroe, passed away unexpectedly on July 15, 2024 at his home. He was born on October 8, 1963 in Monroe, the son of Gerald and Anne K. (Sklenak) Griffith. Tom graduated from Monroe High School in 1982 and earned his associates degree.

Tom worked at Tecumseh Products as a draftsman and later as a self-employed CAD designer.  He was an active member of St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus Council #9937 where he was currently serving as Deputy Grand Knight. Tom loved helping others and took on many leadership roles in fundraisers. He served as catechist, Stephen Ministry caregiver, and was on the building and grounds committee. Tom also enjoyed taking care of his dog, Jolene.

Tom is survived by his brother, Gerald (Linda) Griffith; nieces and nephews, Carolyn (Pat) Berard, Megan Griffith, Kyle (Lexi Boyer) Griffith and Noel Griffith; aunt, Deanna Sklenak; and cousin, Michael Dazarow. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 20, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Tecumseh with Father Daniel Wheeler as Celebrant.

Cremation will follow. Visitation will be Friday, July 19, from 5-7 p.m. at Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Tecumseh Chapel.
