Debra Gerweck

YPSILANTI — Debra Gerweck, age 63, passed away on Monday, Sept. 14, 2026, at home.   She was born on Feb. 17, 1963, in Tecumseh, Mich., to Phyllis Craig and Kenneth Perry. On Nov. 2, 1985, she married Randall Gerweck in Tecumseh at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church.

Deb was a graduate of Britton High School and was a talented seamstress and crafter. She worked as an independent seamstress, putting her creativity and skills to use in her work. Deb enjoyed listening to live music, and she was a family member of the Kid Rock “Chillin the Most” Cruise. Most of all, she cherished the time she spent with her family. She especially loved being a grandmother and treasured every moment with her grandchildren.  

In addition to her husband, Randy, Deb is survived by her two children, Adam (Kate) Gerweck, and Leah Gerweck; two grandchildren, Hank and Oz Gerweck; a brother, Duane Perry; and her mother, Phyllis Craig Perry.

She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Perry.

The family will receive friends at Ochalek Funeral and Cremation Service, Milan, on Friday, Sept. 18, 2026, from 3-7 p.m. Contributions may be made to Huron Valley Humane Society or to Metavivor.org
