Conrad D. Gonyer

TECUMSEH — Conrad D. Gonyer of Tecumseh, Mich., passed into Eternal Life on Friday, Sept. 18, 2026, at Spring Creek Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Adrian, Mich.
Conrad was born Oct. 9, 1939, in Manchester, Mich., to Ray and Mary Gonyer. Conrad was a graduate of Manchester High School and was a gifted athlete, earning the first Mr. Dutchman Award for his athletic abilities in football, basketball, baseball and track. He was known as Connie “No Hit” Gonyer for his pitching abilities on the varsity baseball team as well as excelling as quarterback of the varsity football team, leading them to an undefeated season his senior year.
Conrad was a huge U-M football fan and could be found sporting U-M attire wherever he went.
For many years, Conrad owned Gonyer Discount Water Systems on U.S. 12 in Clinton, Mich. Upon retirement, he moved to Orchard Terrace Senior Living in Tecumseh.
Conrad was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Michelle R. Gonyer; brothers, Ronald and Larry Gonyer; and sister, Barbara Frey. He is survived by grandson, Brett Markgraff (Sarasota, Fla.), and great-grandson, Carter Markgraff (Sarasota, Fla.), as well as many nieces and nephews.
Conrad’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church on Friday, Oct. 9, 2026, at noon with one hour of visitation prior, beginning at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Manchester.
