Henry “Fred” Alfred Strand III

Henry “Fred” Alfred Strand III, age 65, of Tecumseh, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on November 6, 2015, after a long illness. He was born November 10, 1949, in Tecumseh, Mich., the oldest son of Henry and Betty (Pask) Strand II.

Fred is survived by his adoring wife of 33 years, Margaret; his children, Fred (DeAnna) Strand of Tecumseh, Pam (Scott) Muske of Fairfax, Minn., Andrea (Tracy) Green of Adrian, Jason (Stacie) Strand of Clinton, and Chad Strand of Tecumseh; and his grandchildren, Kennedy, Nikkole and Trey Strand, Braden and Landon Strand, Nick Strand, Justin Harvey and Maria, Sam and Andy Muske. He also loved his extended family very much!

He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Budd Strand and sister, Carol Whelan.

Over the years, Fred was employed at Double A of Manchester, Eden Foods, Bradley Chevrolet and the Knights of Columbus. He owned S & S Auto and Truck in Tecumseh for seven years. Fred was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Tecumseh. Fred enjoyed the outdoors, boating, fishing and get-togethers with family and friends.

A Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, 2015, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Tecumseh with Fr. Daniel Wheeler officiating.

Visitation was from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2015, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to be used according to their wishes.
