Duane Walter Ahrens, age 77, loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, passed away on January 6, 2017 surrounded by his family at home. He was born on August 29, 1939, in Manchester, Mich., the son of the late Walter and Frieda (Wahr) Ahrens.

Richard James Roost, age 84, of Clinton, passed away Monday, Jan. 2, 2017 at his home with his wife by his side. He was born October 2, 1932 in Frontier, Mich., the son of the late Bill and Doris (Russell) Roost. Mr. Roost retired from the Tecumseh Products after 43 years.

After eight years of severe health issues, Fred Cross entered into eternal rest on Saturday night, Dec. 24, 2016 while in hospice care in Kennewick, Wash.

Arthur “Art” Neibarger, age 75, of Tecumseh, passed away peacefully at home, with his wife at his side on December 22, 2016, under the care of Hospice of Lenawee. Born in Muskegon, Mich., on June 23, 1941, the son of the late Harold E. and Flora Ellen (LaLone) Neibarger.

Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 26 at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home for James Allen “Casey” Seely, 77, Tecumseh, Mich. He died at 3:05 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 20, in the Toledo Hospital at Toledo, Ohio. He was born July 2, 1939, to Glen D. and Kate Seely.

John August Gialanella, age 102, died peacefully at his home in Tecumseh, Mich., on December 17, 2016. John was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, who was called to serve just after Pearl Harbor was bombed where he obtained the rank of Major. He was born in Newark, N.J.

Tim E. Blumenauer, 72, of St. Petersburg, Fla., formerly of Michigan, departed this life on Friday, Dec. 16, 2016 in St. Petersburg, Fla. He was born on February 21, 1944 to Erwin and Thelma Blumenauer.
