Imagine my surprise this past Thursday evening when one of my neighbors brought Kerry Hamilton Smith’s retirement polemic to my attention. It certainly was an odd feeling to be the unnamed focus of such an interesting series of statements and assertions in the local paper.

I love the Tecumseh community. I’ve lived here my entire life. I graduated from Tecumseh Public Schools as did my children, my father and my grandparents. Four of my great-great-great grandparents are buried in Brookside Cemetery. I obviously have a long history here. This is MY community!

As your representative in the Michigan House and our voice in Lansing, I know the high cost of car insurance is a top concern for drivers and their families across Lenawee County.

Tecumseh Parks and Rec hosted NCCC AmeriCorps crew Oak 3 for three weeks. They completed environmental stewardship projects throughout our parks. Support, encouragement, and kindness came in waves from this community and we need to say “thank you”!
