In 1949, 46 students graduated from Tecumseh High School 70 years ago. There are a few of us still around to hopefully get together and celebrate this occasion. Our class was the last one to graduate from the current Tecumseh Public Schools Board Office.

I am watching in dismay the debate about the direction of our schools deteriorate into anger and polarization. When I moved to Tecumseh, I often promoted the fact that the community knew how to pull together and work toward the common good, rather than break off into factions.

I am outraged at the letter to the editor of March 6 (last week) and I will not mention the headline as it was not only offensive but wrong! I do not have issue with the author of the letter.
