CLINTON— Clinton sent a school record 12 wrestlers to the Michigan High School Athletic Association’s individual regional competition on Saturday, Feb. 20, after coming off a one-point loss in the team regional final, just missing a trip to the team State Championships and finishing the team season with a 33-4 record.

Clinton then set another school record by qualifying seven wrestlers to the Individual State Championships at The Palace of Auburn Hills, scheduled from Thursday through Saturday.

For their efforts and success, Clinton head coach Jeff Rolland was voted Regional Coach of the Year and assistant coach Casey Randolph was voted Assistant Coach of the Year by the Regional Coaches.

“This is a great honor for the program and a testament to the hard work the kids have put in, for the program to be recognized in this way,” said Rolland.
