Melissa Hilton, a kindergarten teacher at Tecumseh Acres Early Learning Center, wanted to devise a way to work toward her yearly professional goal to collaborate with families and make positive connections as partners in their child’s education.

After a long Michigan winter, what most Michiganders need is a chance to get outside and enjoy warmth, sunshine and fun activities. That need seems to be doubled after going through a Michigan pandemic winter, but brighter days are coming.

Winter time activities to help beat cabin fever blues

Those lamenting the cold winter weather can find plenty of both indoor and outdoor activities to get them out of a cabin fever slump with offerings at area recreation sites. In Tecumseh, the AJ Smith Recreation Center at 810 N. Evans St. provides exercise opportunities for all.
