Public meetings set for bond proposal

Tecumseh Public Schools (TPS) will host a number of informational meetings ahead of Election Day on May 3, 2022. TPS is asking voters to consider a zero-tax-rate increase for a $75 million bond proposal to improve school facilities.

About a dozen local residents attended a district coffee hour conducted by Michigan Senator Dale Zorn, R-Ida, on Friday, Feb. 17 at the British Tea Garden, 112 E. Chicago Blvd., Tecumseh, to ask questions and express their opinions on issues affecting the state and the nation.

Gretchen Driskell, State Representative in the 52nd District of Michigan, made a stop at The Daily Grind for a coffee hour on Friday, Dec. 4. A Democratic candidate, Driskell is running for Congress in 2016 against incumbent Tim Walberg to represent Michigan’s 7th Congressional District.
