Mira Mae Snyr, age 66, of Brooklyn, Mich., passed away Friday, Sept. 16, 2016 at her home. She was born April 21, 1950 in Detroit, Mich., a daughter of the late Boyd and Julia (Lucas) Bennett. On March 25, 1972 she married Chester Joseph Snyr Jr. and they spent 44 wonderful years together.

Masako “Marty” Simpson, age 83, of Tecumseh, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2016 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ypsilanti, Mich. She was born on January 20, 1933 in Tokyo, Japan, the daughter of the late Ichiro and Rin Ito.

Larry Paul LaVoy, age 54, of Brooklyn, passed away Monday, Sept. 12, 2016. He was born August 19, 1962 in Temperance, Mich., the son of the late Jesse and Harriet (Noble) LaVoy. On July 1, 2016, he married Dena Ott and she survives.

Myrtie Estelle Noe, age 95, died on September 13, 2016, at Country Living of Hillsdale. She was cared for by Southern Care Hospice after several years of living with Alzheimer’s. Estelle was born on December 23, 1920 in Marion County, Ala., to William Burl and Effie Belle (Mason) Jeffreys.

Albert Donald Vredeveld, age 86, of Tecumseh, passed away September 4, 2016 after a brief hospitalization. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving his country in the Korean War and Vietnam War.

Herman Matthew Schmidt Jr., age 77, of Tecumseh, died Sunday, Sept. 11, 2016 at Hospice of Lenawee. He was born April 9, 1939 in Tecumseh, Mich., a son of the late Herman Matthew and Alma Alice (Starkey) Schmidt.

Linda Ann Harper, age 78, of Vineyard Lake, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 4, 2016 at Hospice of Lenawee. Linda was born on June 28, 1938 in Tecumseh, Mich., to Richard Adam and Wilma Jean (Wilson) Dewey. She attended Tecumseh High School and Jackson Business College.
