Richard Lee Purkey, age 86, a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded with family on Sunday, Aug. 14, 2016 at his home. He was born on April 4, 1930 in Sylvania, Ohio, the son of Leno and Dorothy (Fallis) Purkey.

Lois Brown, age 80, of Adrian, passed away August 13, 2016, at home under Hospice care of congestive heart and kidney failure. Lois was born December 20, 1935 in Sunshine Station, Harlan, Ky., the daughter of Lloyd and Sarah (Baker) Smith. She was proud to be a coal miner's daughter.

Cynthia Dianne Ashley, age 72, of McKenzie, Alabama and formerly of Britton, passed away Friday, July 29, 2016 at Promedica Toledo Hospital. She was born in Greenville, Ala., May 16, 1944 to Henry Derry Skipper and Odean R. Reid. She married James Allen Ashley Feb. 14, 1977 in Toledo.

Suzanne (Suzy) Jane Baker Woodward, age 81, died on August 5, 2016. She was born in Mishawaka, Ind., on August 14, 1934 to Franklin Elias and Frances Genevieve Richardson Baker. Suzy married Carl J. Woodward in Clinton, Mich., on December 27, 1952.

Frances Weigle Kuthe Westfall, age 89 of Tecumseh, Mich., passed away on Monday, Aug. 8, 2016 at her home surrounded by friends and family while under the care of Hospice of Lenawee. She was born on November 4, 1926 in Fulton, Mo., the daughter of Otis and Grace Weigle.
