Fresh Food Initiative to continue

The Fresh Food Initiative at Tecumseh United Methodist Church planned for Saturday, Dec. 14 did not take place due to a scheduling error, as the truck delivering the food failed to show up. This left both workers and recipients of the food unexpectedly empty handed.

The Crisis of Small Farming: Farm bankruptcies and farmer suicides are up significantly (see “Amid Trump Tariffs, Farm Bankruptcies and Suicides Rise” in the October 4, 2019 edition of Forbes magazine). I own a small farm in Lenawee County.

I was at Jerry’s Market on November 22 to buy my groceries and as my food was being rung up the lady said your groceries have been paid for.

I want to thank this per-son for her deep kindness and always remember you will have a special place in heaven.
