The Evans Street Station together with The Adrian Center for the Arts will once again sponsor an Empty Bowls event on February 6 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to benefit local organizations who help feed those in need in the Lenawee community.

People of Michigan, citizens of the United States, I implore you to write or call your state congressman or woman to let them know we don’t want to build a wall across the Mexican-U.S. border! This is the most stupid idea to come out of Washington in years.

I recently had the “privilege” of attending the board of education meeting for Britton Deerfield Schools on January 10. I had kind of figured that maybe, just maybe there would be some “fireworks” that would come about as a totally new board was conducting their first meeting as a group.
