This letter pertains to Judge Gregg P. Iddings, whom I am sure that most citizens of Lenawee know is running for re-election as probate court judge with Catherine Sala seeking to usurp him.

We are nearing the end of a journey that I never thought I would be on. While I have paid attention to politics I never saw myself being involved in them. That all changed around this time last year.

For more than 30 years, I have been involved with education, with the past 20 years as a principal. While in Tecumseh, I have worked under the leadership of six superintendents.

I had my October column pulled together for the Tecumseh Herald and was just finalizing a few edits, when the October 17, 2018 edition of the newspaper came out.

In my 12 years of service on boards of education and raising three sons in two school districts, I have formed opinions on what makes a successful school district.

I am writing to voice my concern over the Investigative Report that appeared in last week’s Tecumseh Herald. This front-page story, below the photos of the school board members and candidates running for the school board, was a disservice to all your readers.

I’d like to start off by thanking the many parents that have stopped by and thanked me for my years of service on the Tecumseh School board, and for those who understood the reasons I needed to resign.
